On the occasion of 60 years Panathlon Club of Venice, Philippe Housiaux, President of the Club Wallonie-Bruxelles introduced the campaign "Square of Fair Play". An initiative that the Club wants to spread in Belgium with the objective to see this project carried out also in other cities of the world. In order to give a strong impulse to this idea, the Club has invited the City of Lausanne to create its own "Square of Fair Play", convinced that the adoption by Lausanne of such a symbolic initiative would also motivate other urban entities to create an international chain of cities and municipalities. On suggestion of the IOC and its President J. Rogge, the Panathlon Club of Lausanne has been contacted to verify the possibility of realizing a "Square of Fair Play" in Lausanne which would certainly enrich the common engagement in favor of the values of ethics in sports.
